MANILA, Philippines—Kevin Quiambao just registered his best game yet in the Korean Basketball League.

On Sunday, the Goyang Sono Skygunners prevailed over the Wonju DB Promy, 86-82, in front of their home crowd behind the heroics of Filipino import Quiambao.

The UAAP Season 86 and 87 MVP notched a huge double-double to the tune of 36 points and 12 rebounds to lift the Skygunners out of a losing rut and improve to an 11-24 record.

On the other end of the court, another Filipino sensation took over in the form of reigning league MVP Ethan Alvano.

Alvano didn’t make it easy for Sono or Quiambao as he stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, eight assists and five rebounds but DB Promy dropped to a 16-20 card.

Meanwhile over at Daegu Gymnasium, SJ Belangel’s Daegu KOGAS Pegasus squeaked past the Seoul Samsung Thunders, 72-69.

Belangel, himself, captured a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds plus four assists to push the Pegasus to a 19-16 card.

On Seoul’s front, Justin Gutang’s 11-point outing was put to waste as the Samsung Thunders dropped to an 11-24 card.

JD Cagulangan also played a significant role in Suwon’s 95-84 dub over Busan at Sajik Gymnasium.
