2nd Doha International Cup Gilas Pilipinas schedule

FILE–Gilas Pilipinas in the Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers.

Gilas Pilipinas is participating in the 2nd Doha International Cup from February 15 to 17 in Doha, Qatar.

The Philippine men’s basketball team faces the national teams of Qatar, Egypt and Lebanon in a pocket tournament days before it flies out for its campaign in the Fiba Asia Cup qualifiers fourth window.

But with Gilas Pilipinas already qualified for the continental meet, it is mainly using the Doha tournament to beef up for the 2025 Fiba Asia Cup in August.

The Doha International Cup is also part of the Qatar Basketball Federation’s initiative of promoting its hosting of the Fiba Basketball World Cup in 2027.
