Popular nightspot H&J Sports Bar and Restaurant will host the kickoff leg of the Inquirer Sports Trivia Throwdown, a unique quiz night that airs on March 14.

A hangout of choice for sports fans and quiz enthusiasts, H&J, which sits on Poblacion Street in Makati City, also holds trivia nights every Thursday, making it a fitting partner for Trivia Throwdown.

“Hosting a trivia night every week is really fun, not only for me but also for the guests … it’s a great bonding experience for [them],” H&J manager Merick Echter said.

FEATURED STORIES

With his experience handling trivia nights at H&J, Echter told the Inquirer and potential Trivia Throwdown participants to “really make sure to know your questions.”

“But most importantly, it’s all about having fun,” Echter added.

Trivia Throwdown is a sports quiz spiced up with the flair of professional wrestling, with power ups that will make it not just a contest of wits, but of strategy as well.
