MANILA, Philippines — With the suspensions put on hold, men’s football team skipper James Younghusband is available to play against Cambodia Wednesday night in a friendly match at National Olympic Stadium.
Team manager Dan Palami and head coach Hans Weiss, likewise, resume their duties as the national team embarks on a build up for the AFF Suzuki Cup starting in Phnom Penh.
The PFF Disciplinary Committee earlier slapped suspensions on Younghusband, Weiss, Palami and others for “failure of leadership,” in the incident involving AFC match commissioner Cristy Ramos.
After an appeal, the game bans meted are suspended pending hearing on September 14, which makes them available for the rest of the camp.
“It seems that I have to do my ‘Kaholeros’ cheers off the bench. Just received a copy of notice to resume team manager duties pending hearing on the 14th,” said Palami on his Twitter (@dscpalami).
The Azkals face Singapore on Friday then Laos on Monday.
