LaVar Ball, controversial dad of 2 NBA stars, has foot amputated

MANILA, Philippines—Lavar Ball, the outspoken and often controversial father of two NBA players, had his foot amputated due to an undisclosed “serious medical issue,” a report said.

The major medical procedure on Lavar’s right foot, first reported by TMZ, comes at the height of the success of his three sons in the basketball and pop culture world—just like how he had envisioned way before.

Currently, LaMelo is making a name for himself out in Charlotte with averages of 27.3 points, 7.2 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game.

LaMelo posted a photo with his father, who was on his scooter, before the Hornets’ game against the Nuggets in the NBA on Friday shortly after the news of the amputation came to light.

“Seen my dawg b4 da game it was only right I love u pops 5L and after 🕺🛸💕💕,” LaMelo said in an Instagram story.

Over in Chicago, Lonzo is doing his thing for his Bulls after a long, long layoff due to injuries.

The 2017 second overall pick is slowly picking his strides in Chicago with norms of 7.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

LiAngelo may not have reached the league like Lavar had predicated  before, but he is now known worldwide for his hit single, “Tweaker.”

In fact, LiAngelo got to perform at the NBA All-Star event at San Francisco, California, representing his family all the while.

Lavar had been a vocal figure in the sports world since his sons’ came to prominence, often with his contoversial takes on issues, but he has been under the radar the past few years.

TMZ also reported that Lavar was in “high spirits and doing well.”
