Calamba hosts football festival
CALAMBA CITY—Mayor Joaquin Chipeco Jr. announced that some 109 teams have confirmed to participate in the third level of the Calamba Football Festival’s JMC CUP 3 which will be held Saturday at Rizal Plaza here.
This will be the national football invitationals for Under 9, under 13, and under 17 teams, a sanctioned tournament of the Philippine Football Federation and managed by the Laguna Football Association.
PFF secretary general Atty. Roland Tulay and DILG Region IV-A Director Josie Castilla will grace the event with Rep. Timmy Chipeco and former senator Joey Lina.

Justin Marc “Timmy” Chipeco of the 2nd District of Laguna, formed the Calamba Puppies with the hope of identifying and training young talents to help boost the football development program of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF).
“We hope to discover new talents through events like this,” said Lina.
