Circuit races get going

CIRCUIT Racing returns to the scene as the country’s finest drivers battle for crucial wins in the fifth and penultimate leg of the 2012 Yokohama Philippine GT Championship Series today at Batangas Racing Circuit.

Defending champion Vincent Floirendo and Jody Coseteng gear up for another tight and grueling showdown for the title.

Spicing up the day is the third leg of the Wind Formula Philippines 2012 where Kizuko Hirota tackles a bigger field vying for the crown.

Floirendo, currently second overall with 157 points, is setting his eyes on a big sweep of both the Sprint and Final races in the GT300 class to give his hopes for a back-to-back crown a big push.

Coseteng, who won several touring car crowns, is looking forward to a new feather in his cap as he guns for his first GT crown.
