Rexona run gets going

THE 3RD Rexona Run is pushing through on Sept. 23 at SM Mall of Asia grounds in Pasay, with participants vying for cash prizes in three divisions.

A part of the Runrio Series, this year’s edition was originally scheduled Aug. 12 but inclement weather forced its postponement.

The 21K Solo will award P7,000, P5,500, and P4,000 to the podium finishers while the 21K Relay (each runner must complete 10.5K each) top three runners will get P5,000, P4,000, and P3,000.  At stake in the 5K event are P4,000, P3,000 and P2,000.

Rexona will also challenge runners to beat the “industry standard,” wherein commemorative key chains will be given to finishers who end the race on or before the recommended finishing time.  To qualify, 5K runners must cross the finish line on or before 6:20 a.m., while all 21K runners need to finish on or before 7 a.m.
