Jack Animam impresses in Romania league’s quarterfinals

MANILA, Philippines—Filipino import Jack Animam became the driving force of Arad in its journey to the Romania Liga-Nationalia’s semifinals.
The National University legend pushed Arad past Cluj Napoca, 90-50, at Sala Polivalentă Victoria in Romania on Saturday (Manila time).

Animam showed the way for Arad as she dominated with a game-high in points and a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds with four assists and four steals in only 22 minutes of action. She also sank 11 out of her 15 shots from the field.

Helping the UAAP champion in Arad’s win were Sona Svetlikova and Tamara Jovancevic, who finished with 16 and 15 points, respectively, in the win.
The duo of Rebecca Lipovan and Laura Bota scored 14 points each for Cluj Napoca but to no avail as they bow out of championship contention.
Animam joined Arad just last year in August and is already making waves in the Romanian league.
