MANILA, Philippines — Alyssa Solomon and National University took their first defeat as a wake-up call in their UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball title repeat bid.

Licking the wounds of their five-set loss to the University of the Philippines last Wednesday, Solomon poured in 30 points to bring back their winning ways at the expense of Far Eastern University in four sets on Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

MANILA, Philippines — Shaira Jardio has been everywhere protecting National University’s floor at all costs this UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball tournament.

Jardio was No. 10 in the first-round statistical race with 106.400 statistical points, leading the Best Libero race with 205 position points.

MANILA, Philippines–National University returned to its winning ways in the UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball tournament, defeating Far Eastern University, 25-22, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18, on Sunday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Alyssa Solomon powered the Lady Bulldogs with a season-high 30 points from 26 attacks, three blocks, and an ace, lifting NU to a 9-1 record while shoring up its twice-to-beat bid in the Final Four.

MANILA, Philippines — After winning a total of two games in the past two seasons, Irah Jaboneta is thrilled to be part of University of the Philippines’ rise in the UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball tournament.

Riding on the crest of their upset of defending champion National University last Wednesday, UP ousted winless University of the East, 25-21, 25-18, 25-17, to climb into fifth place on Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

MANILA, Philippines–Fresh off a monumental upset, University of the Philippines on Sunday annexed another victory to stay within whiffing range of a Final Four berth in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament.

The Fighting Maroons put the University of the East away with ease, 25-21, 25-18, 25-17, in the curtain-raiser at Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.

MANILA, Philippines — National University’s Leo Ordiales wagged his finger then brought out an imaginary broom after drilling the game-clinching spike against Far Eastern University on Sunday.

Ordiales and the Bulldogs denied the Tamaraws’ bid to sweep the elimination round with a come-from-behind 17-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-14, 15-9 win in the UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball tournament.
