MANILA, Philippines–National University returned to its winning ways in the UAAP Season 87 women’s volleyball tournament, defeating Far Eastern University, 25-22, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18, on Sunday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Alyssa Solomon powered the Lady Bulldogs with a season-high 30 points from 26 attacks, three blocks, and an ace, lifting NU to a 9-1 record while shoring up its twice-to-beat bid in the Final Four.
Reigning MVP Bella Belen contributed a triple-double with 18 points, 14 digs, and 13 receptions, while Vange Alinsug added 13 points and 13 receptions.

Faida Bakanke led FEU with 21 points, but the Lady Tamaraws dropped to 6-4 and must step up to stay in Final Four contention.
NU next faces Adamson, while FEU battles a resurgent UP squad eyeing a postseason breakthrough.
