Cagayan beats Ateneo before semis clash with Army
MANILA, Philippines – Cagayan-Perpetual Help got a light workout in defeating a depleted Ateneo side, 25-21, 25-20, 25-17, Tuesday night in the last elimination round match of the Shakey’s V-League Season 9 Open Conference at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.
Sandra de los Santos powered her way to a game-high 16 points while Honey Rose Tubino added 12 more.
The Rising Suns, who ended the preliminary round with a 7-3 record, will face No.2 Philippine Army Wednesday in a best-of-three semifinals series.
