NU downs La Salle-Zobel, UST bests Adamson in UAAP juniors basketball
MANILA, Philippines—National University solidified its hold of the second spot after squeaking past La Salle-Zobel, 77-76, Thursday in the 75th UAAP juniors basketball competition.
John Cauilan paced the Bullpups, who improved to 10-1, with 23 points and 15 boards off the bench, while Hubert Cani added 16 points.
A 25-point effort by Henri Subido went down the drain as the Junior Archers lost control in the payoff period and were only held to just nine points.

Five Tiger Cubs scored in double digits with Alvin Baetiong leading the way with 15 points and 13 rebounds, along with one assist, steal and block.
La Salle-Zobel slid down to fifth with a 5-6 record, behind Ateneo, which totes a 6-5 slate.
