UAAP theme for UST hosting: ‘Strength in Motion, Hope in Action’

MANILA, Philippines—The University of Santo Tomas, host of UAAP Season 88, unveiled the theme for the upcoming season on Tuesday: “Strength in Motion, Hope in Action.”

This marks the first time UST will host the UAAP since Season 79 in 2016, nearly a decade since it last held the role.

UST said that Season 88’s theme will resonate with the student-athletes competing for their respective universities.

“‘Strength in Motion’ captures the relentless spirit of athletes who strive to achieve beyond their limits. It is the disciplined movement shaped by perseverance, the strength that does not merely endure but propels forward.”

“‘Hope in Action’ reflects the inner drive that sustains resilience. It is hope that manifests not only in dreams but in choices.”

The university’s College of Fine Arts and Design created the logo for Season 88.

The upcoming UAAP logo will feature two flames intertwining to form the number “88,” with colors representing the eight schools competing in the league.
