MANILA, Philippines—Gilas Pilipinas Youth remained undefeated in the Fiba U16 Asia Cup Seaba Qualifiers on Sunday night after yet another one-sided affair.

The Philippines annihilated Thailand, 87-42, at Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center to remain unblemished at 2-0. in the regional qualifiers.

The U16 national team followed up on its rousing campaign-opener, where the Filipinos reigned supreme over Vietnam, 113-62.

After Travis Pascual’s domination in the win against the Vietnamese, but on Sunday night, it was Carl Gabriel Delos Reyes’ coming-out party.

Delos Reyes spearheaded Gilas Youth against the Thais with a near double-double of 16 points and nine rebounds to fuel the Philippines’ showing.

The troika of Prince Cariño, Everaigne Cruz and Nickson Cabañero also pushed the pace for the Philippines with 15, 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Gilas Youth’s defense halted the Thais from breaching double-digit offensive outputs with Ananda Jaeger topscoring with just eight.

The action continues for the Philippines on Monday when the young squad held by coach LA Tenorio takes on Singapore at the same venue.
