“Both my parents are immigrants, so nothing came easy. I worked my way up.”
Grant—who won three championships with the Chicago Bulls in the early ’90s and another title with the LA Lakers in 2001—and Harris recently arrived in Manila to grace the first NBA 3-on-3 presented by Sprite this weekend at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

The event, which also planed in six members of the City Dancers, aims to promote the 3-on-3 format with a tournament featuring divisions for male and female players aged 11 to 19 years old and open men.
“The great thing about 3-on-3 is you can’t stop moving because of the rules,” said Grant. “In my time, I don’t think I would’ve been able to play that fast.”
