San Sebastian turns down Jose Rizal in NCAA
MANILA, Philippines – Ian Sangalang and Ronald Pascual combined for 45 points as San Sebastian turned back Jose Rizal University, 73-67, Saturday in the opening day of the NCAA Season 87 at the Araneta Coliseum.
With main man Calvin Abueva serving a one-game suspension, Sangalang dominated at both ends of the floor with 25 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks.
Pascual meanwhile, fired 20 points including a dagger jumper with 41.6 left that put the Stags ahead, 68-63.

Ronnel Carampil fired 19 points for the Heavy Bombers, who drew a sub-par performance from marksman Nate Matute.
Matute only had five points on a woeful two-of-10 shooting from the field.
Robinson also played in the PBA.
