No Huey for Davis Cuppers
The Cebuana Lhuillier-Philippine Davis Cup team leaves for New Zealand today facing a tough, world-ranked opponent in their Group 1 tie minus its No. 2 player in the last two years.
Treat Huey, a doubles specialist and mainstay of the PH squad in its last seven ties, has decided to chase higher ATP rankings in the lucrative $500,000 Campbell’s Hall of Fame championships in Rhode Island.
He wasn’t listed in the PH roster nominated for the Asia/Oceania Group 1 tie.
