Jackes clinches overall Coke mini-ROK crown
TEAMWORK played a key role behind TRS-Castrol Racing Kids Team’s impressive final show, highlighted by the Mini-ROK triumph of Filipino-Australian Flynn Jackes in the 2012 Coca-Cola Karting Super Series recently at Clark International Speedway.
Trailing by six points prior to the final leg, the 9-year-old Jackes finished ahead of closest rival Gabe Cabrera in all three races—Qualifying Heat, Pre-Final and Final.
Despite winding up second in the Final, Jackes still claimed the overall plum with an eight-leg total of 501 points against Cabrera’s 481.
Article continues after this advertisementAT Tuason was third overall in the Formula Cadet Expert with 420 points while Wils Casequin was fourth overall in the Formula Cadet Expert.
“Winning the championship is just the sweetest reward for all the pressures and ordeals our team went through this season,” said Jackes.
