Fitness First cyclists rule Tour of Subic
Ronnier Nacario picked up another cycling crown by topping the overall individual race as Fitness First bagged the team title in the Aboitiz Power Tour of Subic yesterday at the Subic Bay Freeport in Zambales.
Nacario, also the Bike King Cycling Classic winner last February, recorded a total time of four hours, 19 minutes and 52 seconds for the overall individual plum in Category 3.
An Aboitiz Power cyclist, the 27-year-old Nacario ruled Saturday’s grueling 80-kilometer road race and clinched third in yesterday’s 42-kilometer criterium.
Jon Urrutia of Fitness First clocked 4:21.28 to secure runner-up honors while Leian Cruz of Vondutch rounded up the podium finishers with a time of 4:22.22.
The 1-2-3 finish of BJ Afable, Jamie Ramirez and Rienzi Del Rosario in the individual general classification in Category 4 propped up Fitness First’s strong showing in the overall team event.
