National ‘Bakbakan’ draws over 5,000 bets

POWERED by more than 5,000 gamefowl breeders nationwide, the “NFGB National Bakbakan 11-Stag Derby” will be the center of attention this week.

The initial 3-stag eliminations will be held Oct. 10 and 13 in Malvar Cockpit Batangas; Oct. 12 in Candon City Cockpit and Arcontica Cockpit in Cavite.

Ricoy Palmares Jr., president of the National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders, said P47 million in guaranteed prize will be disputed.
Aside from the cash prize, the champion will receive a 4×4 Toyota Hilux Pickup.

By joining the Bakbakan, a participant helps the various charitable projects of the NFGB Foundation, and also qualifies for the raffle draw where six 4×2 Toyota  Hilux are at stake, said Palmares.

The 2012 ‘Bakbakan’ is co-presented by Thunderbird and B-Meg Derby Ace, together with Supremo Feeds, Pilmico, Lakpue Drug Inc., Excellence Gamefowl Specialists, VNJ Distributors and Resorts World Manila.
