A representative from Ticketnet confirmed to INQUIRER.net that tickets for Thursday’s game at Smart Araneta Coliseum were no longer available less than 24 hours before they went on sale.
The Blue Eagles 83-78 win over the Growling Tigers was witnessed by a mammoth crowd of close to 21,000 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Unlike SM Tickets, which handled the ticketing in game one – prompting fans to campout outside MOA Arena, Ticketnet allowed online purchasing.
But students and alumni still have a chance to get their hands on the precious tickets – which usually don’t come cheap from the hands of resellers – through their respective schools.
The UST- Student Organizations Coordinating Council announced on its Twitter account that the selling started Monday, but only limited for Upper Box B and General Admissions sections.
Ateneo, meanwhile, will open its gates to students, alumni and employees for ticket purchase on Tuesday.
Students may start lining up at the MVP roofdeck as early as six in the morning, while numbers will be given out to alumni an hour after, as confirmed by goATENEO.com.
Ticketnet also said that selling Standing Room Only tickets on the day itself was “a possibility” but no concrete instructions have been given out yet.
