Resuello bags overall, Intermediate crowns

RANIEL Resuello claimed the overall Superbikes crown despite a fourth-place finish in the last leg of the 2012 Bridgestone Philippine Superbikes Championships at Clark International Speedway in Clark Field, Pampanga.

The 22-year-old from Tanay, Rizal, also became the pioneer champion of the event, now under the supervision of the Superbikes Racing Association headed by John Defensor.

Resuello, a registered nurse, also bagged the Intermediate title, beating Anthony Roman and Marvin Mangulabnan.

“Everything came at the right time,” said Resuello, who will soon take up a medical course. “I’m done with my studies and I’d like to thank my parents, supporters and sponsors who made this feat possible.”

Toti Alberto clinched the Superbikes Masters title over Defensor while Roman ruled the Superbikes Novice.

The other winners were Aries Padiernos (400cc Expert) and Arvel Veluz (400cc Novice division). Steve Silva, Contributor
