Bigger field in Run United 42K
Riding on the huge turnout in the 32K race it organized early this year, Unilab Active Health expects an even bigger field when it stages the 42K race of the Run United Philippine Marathon on Oct. 28 in Manila.
Alex Panlilio, head of UAH, said feedback from participants are encouraging with regular runners of the Run United races expected to come in full force for its first-ever marathon.
Panlilio said participants braced themselves by joining the 32K race recently and that if the turnout for the event was any indication, the full marathon is also expected to lure more participants.

“Long-distance runners participated in full force at Run United 3 despite the rains,” said Panlilio. “There were thousands of participants for the 21K and the 32K events. Two weeks before the race, slots for the 32-K or the so-called “Afroman Distance” were already taken.”
The RUPM will also feature short- and medium-distance categories—the Ceelin 500 meters, 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K.
