NCA 6th leg derby lures ‘heavies’
THE SIXTH and last leg of the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) 6-Stag Derby series fires off Tuesday next week with many of the country’s top cockers seeing action at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The derby, hosted by Boy Valenzuela, Danny and Joel Teves, Newton Isaac, and Arnold Mendoza, precedes the NCA Big Event on Oct. 23 where the NCA Stag Fighter of the Year will be named.
Meanwhile, three entries shared the championship in the fifth leg, also sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, last Oct. 9 with 4.5 points each—“LDB and Pugo Combine” of Ka Luding and Rey Soberano, “Tarlac” of Gov. Vic Yap, and “Diego-Ika sa Byernes Na!” of Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano.
The entries of JR Tolentino and Charlie Gayoso, Mario Villamor, Boy Valenzuela, Jun Mendoza and Ferdie Eusebio, Arnold Mendoza and Rene Medina tied for second.
