MANILA, Philippines — Creamline continued its mastery of Choco Mucho, pulling off a 27-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15 win Tuesday night in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference before 12,600 fans at Mall of Asia Arena.

The Cool Smashers have now beaten the Flying Titans 19 times in their last 20 meetings in the PVL. They improved to a 1-1 record early in the tournament.

Bernadeth Pons led the offense with 19 points, 18 excellent receptions, and 13 digs for Creamline, which bounced back from a tough straight-set loss to PLDT last week.

“There’s really still adjustment every day because, like Jia said, a lot of players came back. She just returned, I just came back too. The last time we played together, it was only for a very short time,” said Pons in Filipino. “Now, this is really the time for us to rebuild our setter-to-spiker connection. So the adjustments are there every day, and that’s something we keep working on daily.”

Jia De Guzman tossed 20 excellent sets and scored eight points, highlighted by three blocks while Pangs Panaga drilled 12 points including four kill blocks. Jema Galanza and Tots Carlos added 11 points each.

“We’re really happy because we got our first win this conference. Hopefully, we can keep it going and find our rhythm, especially since a lot of players have come back. Hopefully, we can get another win in the next game,” said Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses.

Eya Laure rose to the occasion in her first Creamline-Choco Mucho rivalry game but suffered a late injury in the fourth set while diving for a ball when the Cool Smashers trailed 9-4. She exited to the locker room and did not return.

From there, Creamline pulled away with a 17-8 spread. Galanza mounted the biggest lead of the match, 23-13, before Panaga and Carlos sealed the win.

The Flying Titans lost back-to-back games, sliding to a 1-2 record.

Laure led Choco Mucho with 19 points, 13 receptions and 10 digs. Sisi Rondina had 15 points and 14 receptions. Lorraine Pecaña had 10 points off five blocks, while libero Thang Ponce tallied 26 digs.
