Garcia rules circuit race

NINO Garcia captured the championship of Circuit Showdown 2012 by capitalizing on an unfortunate incident that befell rival Paolo Mantolino recently at Clark International Speedway.

Garcia eventually ruled Grid A of the race, beating Mato Tan and third placer Rafael La’O.

Carlo Lee won his race and ruled Grid B, beating Eduardo Pujol and Don Andaya. The Grid C podium, meanwhile, saw another first-time winner in Sandy de Guzman taking the top step over Onyl Malabanan and Lesley Tuazon.

The time trials of the event produced plenty of excitement as Mark Young’s HKS GT800 R35, tuned by Emperor Motorsports and driven by Carlos Anton, became the fastest road car around the course, clocking 2:05.548 and barely edging the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 Superleggera of Joby Tanseco.

Bracket B was topped by Ramon de Oteyza, Cholo Mojica.

First place in Bracket C was Mark Sy, followed by Bryan Alonzo and JP Pacres.

The top three in Bracket D were Eduardo Pujol, Bong Brobio and Jerwin Mance.

Bracket E saw Ike Palinar, Jonathan Guinto and Francis delos Santos take the podium, while Edward de la Rosa in a Chevy Spark took the win followed by Benedict Gregorio and JM de Leon in Bracket F.
