Lazatin, Zhang share ICTSI jungolf interschool honors

JAVI Lazatin of San Beda College Alabang and Sunshine Zhang of OB Montessori shared the limelight as overall champions in the the boys and girls categories, respectively, at the conclusion of the ICTSI-JGFP Interschool Golf Championship cohosted by the Riviera Sports and Country Club and the Philippine Navy Golf Club recently.

Lazatin finished with 213 points while Zhang assembled 193 that included a hole-in-one on the second hole of Riviera last Sept. 9 in the competition that formed part of the interschool battles organized by the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines with the backing of the International Container Terminal Services Inc.

While Lazatin finished 17 points ahead of Lucas Hodreal of TMA in the Midgets 3 division, it was a more convincing win by Zhang in Girls 2 where she wound up 22 points clear of Lazatin’s younger sister Trisha also from San Beda Alabang.

The other winners in the event held in coordination with The Junior Golfers League were Ken Shibata, who escaped with a two-point win over Gabby Subido in Midgets 1, and Anya Cedo, who posted 100 points to beat Annika Chua (45).
