MIAMI — For nine years in the NBA, LeBron James was driven by a title. Every season, every game was about striving to get that first championship ring.
On Tuesday, he’ll have that coveted jewelry.
So now he’s a champion, and an NBA Finals MVP, to go along with three regular-season MVP awards, two Olympic gold medals and the unofficial title of best player in the world. And now comes the next chapter, the encore.
In an interview with The Associated Press, James says he knows some people think he can’t win again. He’s as driven as ever, he says, for more rings. But the biggest possible goal remains his only true goal: James says he wants to leave the game with people considering him as the best player ever.
