In their first foray together, Eala and Williams reached the quarterfinal of the Bad Homburg Open doubles before yielding to Olivia Nicholls and Tereza Mihalikova, 6-3, 6-2.
After their elimination, Venus relished her partnership with Eala, whom she called “the best partner.”

The Rafa Nadal Academy graduate also competed in doubles at the All England Club with Nikola Bartunkova but lost to Jelena Ostapenko and Sofia Kenin in the first round, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.
