Rivera brothers snare top karting crowns

/ 09:51 PM October 29, 2012

BROTHERS Milo and Estefano Rivera completed their date with history by clinching the top plums in the final round of the 2012 Coca-Cola KF2-KF3 Cup Series at Clark International Speedway held recently in Angeles City.

The 16-year-old Milo bagged the KF2 crown while the younger Estefano copped the KF3 title.

The Rivera brothers, both students of Don Bosco-Makati, emerged the first siblings in Philippine karting history to claim the top awards of a single series. Not even the multititled JP and Mike Tuason during the ’90s and M&M Racing’s Michele and Mark Bumgarner of the last decade were able to achieve the feat.

Milo already had the KF2 plum in the bag after ruling Race 7, just 0.007 of a second ahead of VJ Suba. Matthew Chan took third place.
