CARNOUSTIE, SCOTLAND—Frankie Miñoza rallied with a 74 in the second round but missed the halfway cut by one stroke in the Senior British Open Friday.
With his opening 76, the two-time Philippine Open champion now campaigning in the European Senior Tour totalled 150 which was just off the cutline of 149.
American Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin shot a second straight 2-under 69 to share the second-round lead with Bernhard Langer of Germany.
Pavin and Langer (71) have 4-under totals of 138 to sit one shot clear of a quartet that includes Ian Woosnam (67) and Jay Haas (69).
Americans Dan Forsman (71) and Larry Mize (70) were also tied for second.
Pavin was among the early starters and looked set to take a commanding lead before finishing with a double bogey 6 at the 18th after hitting his second shot out of bounds.
