A RECORD field of 500 is expected in the Unilab Active Health’s Tri United 3 slated Nov. 11 at Narra Park inside Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City.
Triathletes in the sprint distance course will be swimming 900 meters at the De La Salle-Zobel pool followed by a 30.3 km bike and a 7.1 km run on undulating roads around the village.
Mini-sprint distance (300m swim–7.6K bike–1.7K run) will be held in another section of the village close to Narra Park.
The race is the final leg of the 2012 Tri United series event organized by Bike King led by Raul Cuevas in cooperation with Triathlon Association of the Philippines (Trap) and the Ayala Alabang Village Association.
Mini-sprint participants will be flagged off in their respective waves set at 6 a.m. (male 13-15), 6:03 a.m. (male 16-above), 6:06 a.m. (2nd batch male 16-above), 6:09 a.m. (female 13-15) and 6:12 a.m. (female 16-above).
The sprint distance racers will be fired off at 6:15 a.m. beginning with the female 18-24 and female 25-29 classes in the event sponsored by Unilab Active Health, Alaxan FR, Enervon HP, I-ON Energy Drink, Hydrite, Landco, Bikeking, 3rd District of Bohol, Timex, Aboitiz Power, Crystal Clear, Orbea and SwimBikeRun.ph.
The female entries 30 years and older get going at 6:30 a.m.
Male participants will have their respective races start in different waves in 15-minute intervals between 7 to 9 a.m.
