UFL postpones, reschedules matches due to unplayable pitch

MANILA, Philippines—Due to unplayable pitch, United Football League, at the last minute, postponed the games scheduled at University of Makati field Sunday.

The matches between Loyola Meralco versus winless Mendiola FC, and Pachanga FC versus Laos FC were, instead, rescheduled for Monday at the same venue.

An unexpected downpour Sunday afternoon rendered the pitch unfit for the games, which already had been previously rescheduled due to Typhoon “Ofel.”

Pachanga and Loyola Meralco are playing for a spot in the quarterfinals of the UFL Cup.

Meanwhile, Sta. Lucia FC and Philippine Air Force settled for a scoreless draw at the Nomads Sports Club to end their group stage campaign.

Team Soccerro, on the other hand, edged Navy, 1-0, on goal by Jude Duruachazie in the 58th minute at the ASCOM Soccer Field.
