JRU gets huge win over St. Clare in PCCL; Adamson, Mapua triumphs

MANILA, Philippines—Jose Rizal University defeated St. Clare, 78-71, Wednesday to remain in the hunt for a slot in the Sweet 16 of the Philippine Collegiate Champions League.
The Bombers face University of the East Thursday to determine who gets one of the two slots at stake in the three-day Metro Manila Qualifiers.
Article continues after this advertisementAdamson and Mapua, meanwhile, remained undefeated so far after bundling out separate foes in the first two games at The Arena in San Juan city.
Adamson blew out Centro Escolar University, 89-70, while Mapua barely got past Philippine Merchant Marine School, 74-70.
The Red Warriors also prevailed over still winless St. Francis, 82-74, in the night cap.
