MANILA, Philippines–Converge gave hapless Macau a rough ending to its two-conference participation as guest team after taking a 162-108 victory in Friday’s 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup action at Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Import Cam Clark scored 32 points, Juan Gomez de Liano had a triple-double for the second straight game, while Justine Baltazar and Justin Arana each registered a double-double as the FiberXers easily got the win.
Gomez de Liano put up 13 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists, Baltazar produced 14 points and 12 rebounds while Arana added 16 points and 10 rebounds for Converge.
The FiberXers improved to a 7-4 record, tying the TNT Tropang 5G for third in Group A.
The blowout affair served as a warm-up for Sunday’s meeting with the Tropang 5G at the same venue. A win would give Converge the No. 3 seed in Group A going to the crossover quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, the Giant Pandas wrapped up their campaign with a 2-10 record after dropping their final four games with a shorthanded lineup.
Kobey Lam scored 49 points, his best scoring game in the league, but Macau will end its PBA campaign on a forgetful note.
Macau lost by an average margin of 33.5 points, including an embarrassing 60-point setback to NLEX that set a new league record for the most lopsided game ever.
