Golf: Storm halts Singapore Open

SINGAPORE—The Barclays Singapore Open was suspended for an impending thunderstorm for the second time in two days on Friday.

England’s Simon Dyson and Chapchai Nirat of Thailand were the joint leaders at six-under-par 65 mid-way through round two when the hooter sounded at 1:40 pm (0540 GMT).

World number one Rory McIlroy had just birdied his ninth and 10th holes to be level par for the tournament. McIlroy was forced to complete 10 holes of his first round early on Friday after storms halted play on Thursday.
