Tour aces get going in Canlubang Invt’l

CANLUBANG, Laguna—Senior campaigners Frankie Miñoza and Robert Pactolerin rejoin the local ICTSI Tour today as the Canlubang Invitational fires off at the complex’s North course.

Miñoza, winner of last week’s Japan Senior Open, and Pactolerin, 24th in the same event, banner the field chasing the P200,000 winner’s prize.

Jay Bayron, another international winner last week, is also in the fold and is tipped as one of the players to beat owing to his familiarity with the Robert Trent Jones-designed course.

Artemio Murakami, the defending champion, is out to atone for so-so finishes this year.

Former Canlubang standouts in the PAL Interclub like Mark Fernando, Rufino Bayron, Jonel Ababa, Zannie Boy Gialon and Jessie Balasabas also loom as players to watch.
