Marquez looking for KO against Pacquiao

MANILA, Philippines — Bulging muscles and speedy hands.

Juan Manuel Marquez showed local media and his fans on Wednesday what to expect from him on Dec. 8, when he tangles with Manny Pacquiao for the fourth time at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Already in great shape, Marquez delighted the packed crowd at Romanza Gym in Mexico City when he did his training routines before the observant eyes of legendary trainer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain and conditioning coach Angel Heredia.

According to Ernesto Castellanos of Mexican sports daily Esto, Marquez said he’s trained even harder and is in much better shape than last year, when he lost to Pacquiao by majority decision in their third showdown.

The fight plan, bared Marquez, who chiefly worked on his speed and strength, is to attack Pacquiao’s body round by round and look for the knockout.

Marquez said he didn’t want the judges to deny him of a victory for the third time, alluding that the judges had a hand in his controversial draw with Pacquiao in 2004 and a split decision loss in their rematch four years later.

After the workout, promoter Fernando Beltran told the media he’s satisfied because Marquez appeared to be “very strong” and all that his fighter needs is “to be very fast.”

Pacquiao, meanwhile, appeared anew as guest in Jimmy Kimmel Live! late Wednesday  in Los Angeles. It was the seventh stint for Pacquiao in the show. Roy Luarca
