Bayron, Hsu, Richardson win Asian Tour cards
TAIPEI—Jay Bayron of the Philippines headed a list of three players who secured their cards for next year’s Asian Tour on Friday.
Bayron was elevated after being crowned merit champion of the circuit’s feeder series, the Asian Development Tour (ADT), whose final event was cut short by heavy rain.
Article continues after this advertisementTaiwan’s Hsu Mong-man and Peter Richardson of England also won Asian Tour cards for finishing second and third on the prize money standings, organisers said in a press release.
Taiwanese player Lu Chien-soon was handed victory in the Yeangder ADT event when the third and final round was called off following torrential rain. Lu, 52, held a five-shot lead after the second round.
