Thailand takes 2-0 halftime lead at Suzuki cup

MANILA, Philippines — A more aggresive Thailand netted two goals to take a 2-0 lead over the Philippines at halftime of 2012 Aff Suzuki Cup group A match Saturday night in Bangkok.

After relentless waves of attack by the Thais, Jakkraphan Pornsai finally slotted one home in the 39th minute just infront of the box.

Barely two minutes, Thailand made the scoreboard move anew after Anuch Kitpongsri managed to elude his defender then get around ‘keep Ed Sacapaño for the goal.

20 minutes into the match, Phil Younghusband already suffered a cut to his left eyebrow while Jerry Lucena took a knee to the head.
