Duremdes lifts Mighty Sports to title

FORMER PBA MVP Kenneth Duremdes flashed his old deadly form to lift Mighty Sports to the MCAA-Danny Espiritu Cup basketball championship at RTU gym in Mandaluyong City recently.

Duremdes hit clutch jumpers while Aries Dimaunahan, also a former pro, hit two charities in the last six seconds as Mighty Sports subdued LNC-Skyforce, 95-92, in their winner-take-all title duel.

Duremdes scored 19 points while Edreck Ferrer chipped in 15 against a team backstopped by ex-pros Mark Macapagal, Allan Salangsang, Ronjay Enrile and Marcy Arellano.

The title was the second for Mighty Sports , coached by Mike Fermin, in three months after also ruling the Mandaluyong Cong. Boyet Gonzales Cup.
