WASHINGTON – The San Antonio Spurs kept Washington winless this season by beating the Wizards 118-92 Monday behind a balanced offensive attack and 16 points from Boris Diaw.
Tiago Splitter added 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Tony Parker also had 15 points for the Spurs, who have won four-straight National Basketball Association contests.
Tim Duncan had 14 points, Gary Neal netted 13, Manu Ginobili scored 12 and Matt Bonner finished with 11 at the Verizon Center arena.
Jordan Crawford paced Washington with 19 points and Kevin Seraphin finished with 18 as the Wizards dropped to 0-12 on the season. It is their worst start in franchise history.
San Antonio shot 72.2 percent from the field in the third quarter as the Spurs outscored the Wizards 33-22 en route to a 92-70 lead entering the final quarter.
Washington never threatened, trailing by as much as 29 in the fourth quarter.
The Wizards played without forward Nene, who was out with a foot injury.
