Slaughter cleared to suit up for powerhouse NLEX in PBA D-League

MANILA, Philippines — Former Ateneo stalwart Greg Slaughter finally got the clearance to suit up for PBA D-League’s only champion.

The PBA Commissioner’s office Tuesday finally gave the seven-foot center the green light to play for NLEX after five games of waiting in the 2012 Aspirants Cup.

Slaughter finally completed all the documents from Bureau of Immigration required by the league for Filipino players with foreign blood.

Commissioner Chito Salud said in a statement that “there’s no more legal obstacle for Slaughter to play in the PBA D-League.”

The Road Warriors, though, don’t seem to be that affected by Slaughter’s absence as they cruised to their 22nd straight victory dating back to last two conferences.
