Sieber earns PCA Open top ranking
Fil-German Marc Sieber will banner what organizers described as “the toughest men’s singles field ever” as the top seed in the Philippine Columbian Association (PCA) Open tennis championships presented by Cebuana Lhuillier which starts Dec. 1.
PCA Open chair and national coach Roland Kraut, appearing in yesterday’s PSA Forum at Shakey’s Malate with veteran PH Davis Cupper Ruben Gonzales and junior stalwart Jurence Zosimo Mendoza, also bared that the men’s and women’s champions will get automatic slots in the 2012 Australian Open tune up event, the Kia Amateur Australian Open.
However, the slots would be for amateurs 18 years old and above. If the winners have pro circuit rankings, the next best players based on the results will be fielded in Melbourne.
