Lee returns as Rain or Shine eliminates Barako Bull

MANILA, Philippines—Toting a complete line-up, Rain or Shine eliminated Barako Bull, 116-101, Friday in the 2012 PBA Philippine Cup at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

With the much-awaited return of Paul Lee and a career-game from Jonathan Uyloan, the Elastopainters dominated the Energy from the get go.

Uyloan provided quality numbers with 18 points, three assists and two blocks.

Lee added 16 points while Jervy Cruz led with 23 markers for Rain or Shine, who are still eyeing the second spot.

A 6-0 run to start the payoff period gave Rain or Shine a 26-point edge, and stayed in cruise control for the rest of the game.

“Lagi ako nagsshooting, okay na braso ko at wala na masakit,” said Lee, who is fresh off a long layoff due to a shoulder injury.

The loss ended the Energy’s bid for a spot in the quarterfinals and joined Globalport as the two squads eliminated.

Danny Seigle had 21 points for Barako Bull, which ended its campain with a 4-10 record.
