Hope seeks Shakey’s semis slot

DEFENDING champion Hope Christian High School will eye a third straight win and the first semifinal berth in Pool A when it takes on New Life Christian Academy today in the 10th Shakey’s Girls’ Volleyball League NCR leg at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

The Hope tossers got past Miriam College and Academy of God’s Children in their first two outings and are heavily favored against the New Life squad in their 2 p.m. encounter.

The penultimate playdate of the single round elimination will also pit Miriam against AGC at 3 p.m. and Angelicum against Pasay City West  in the 4 p.m. game of the event sponsored by Toby’s Sports, Mikasa, Tune Hotels, Asics and Volley Prep.
