Meralco beats San Mig Coffee, faces Alaska in quarterfinals
MANILA, Philippines—Meralco drew solid plays from Mac Cardona and Reynel Hugnatan to beat San Mig Coffee, 87-77, Sunday in the 38th PBA Philippine Cup at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Cardona and Hugnatan shot 15 points each as the Bolts ended their elimination round campaign on a winning note.

Cardona missed only three of his 10 shots from the field and grabbed seven rebounds and had three assists.

Head coach Tim Cone opted to give James Yap a night off to rest an injury.
JC Intal and Aldrech Ramos played extended minutes in the absence of Yap.
