Lady Altas hike win streak to 17 in NCAA women’s volleyball

MANILA, Philippines—Reigning champion Perpetual Help breezed past Jose Rizal University, 25-6, 25-16, 25-17, Tuesday in the NCAA Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan city.

Sandra de los Santos scored 13 points while April Sartin added 12 points, three on service aces for the Lady Altas, who racked up their third straight win.

Overall, Perpetual Help has won 17 consecutive games dating back to last season.

The Lady Altas were just too much for the Lady Bombers, who fell to 0-3.

Meanwhile, San Beda came back to nip Lyceum, 27-29, 20-25, 25-16, 25-13, 15-10.

The Lady Red Spikers came out on top despite giving away 51 points on errors.

Janine Marciano and Frances Molina teamed up to power San Beda, which hiked its slate to 2-1, back.

Marciano pumped in 25 points while Molina unleashed 23 markers.

The Lady Pirates succumbed to their third loss in as many outings.
