MANILA, Philippines — Filipino World boxing champion Nonito Donaire Jr. and Mexican Jorge Arce both made weight ahead of their clash on Sunday (Manila time) in Houston, Texas, according to Top Rank, promoter of the fight.

Donaire (30-1, 19 KOs) is risking his World Boxing Organization (WBO) super bantamweight crown against a seasoned boxer in Arce (61-6-2, 46 KOs).

Arce weighed in at exactly 122 pounds, while Donaire tipped the scales at 121.5 pounds Saturday in the official weigh-in at the PlazAmericas Mall, also in Houston.

There hasn’t been a lot of heat between Donaire and Arce, even in the final presser and weigh-in — but the four-division world champion predicts only one of them will be left standing the day after.

This is Donaire’s fourth fight this year, winning over Wilfredo Vazquez Jr., Jeffrey Mathebula and Toshiaki Nishioka, respectively.

Owned by Bob Arum, Top Rank also promoted the fourth fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas early in December.

Marquez won, knocking out Pacquiao in the sixth round.
